We set up shop in a church parking lot right off of West End in Nashville.

We sold a few doughnuts as well and Blake and the gang took the rest to church the next morning.

The Car Wash went pretty good for not being an intersection location. Feel free to leave messages on the site/ask questions by clicking "comments" under each post. Also there are related links on the right such as pictures from my 2002 trip to Mexico. There is also donation info on the right if you are interested.

I have gone to Mexico with my youth group from Harpeth Community Church three times now to either build a house or host a Vacation Bible School. Now most of these original people are attending college--so we all know each other and we have a great group of hard workers.

There will be about 12 of us. It was a kind of a last minute thing. I got a call from Blake about two weeks ago to see if I wanted to go. The college group is doing all the fundraising ourselves. I don't have a real job this summer, just working for myself, so I thought it would be a great time to go. I'm really excited.

David Sanders, an adult from the church who has been to Mexico a few times, is going with us. We also have a few Spanish speakers on crew, and most of us have been to Juarez before. We worked with Casas Por Cristo, “Houses for Christ” (link on right) in 2001. A board of 80+ pastors in Mexico review applications monthly to decide which families to build houses for. It's a pretty neat type of trip. You know that your time is well spent, because you can physically see the impact--a newly erected house, which will take four days or so to make. I'm ready to put my workin' glove on! woo hoo!

Please keep the group and I in your prayers.
